Within an area historic of Japanese samurai sword-making, Shun's parent company Kai Corporation has its factory strategically situated in Seki-City, where they employ knife-making artisans that have years of experience passing through generations. 

Each of Shun's knives undergo at least 100 handcrafted steps, creating lines of kitchen knives that are superior in sharpness, quality and finish.
