Since the 1800's, Lodge has been manufacturing rustic, cast iron and steel cookware in the USA that is high value, generously sized, versatile and highly durable.
Now introducing their latest range Blacklock, Lodge went back to the drawing board with this range, to try and answer some of the concerns customers faced, namely weight, hot handles and seasoning.
Blacklock have taken their foundry seasoning to the next level and this range has a triple seasoning so these pans are all ready to go with their natural non stick coating.
This takes the time out for having to season the pans and makes them super easy to clean.
Blacklock is 25% lighter than the standard lodge pans, but still made with high quality and durable cast iron
The handles have also been reinvented with cut outs at the centre of the handles to allow airflow to keep the handles cooler for longer.
The 12inch/30cm skillet is marked with the number 39 on the base.
This marks the year of the great depression and how Lodge succesfully adapted and survived through that period, and how versatile this pan can be and can adapt to any heat sources and any type of meal, wether it be steak or a sweet pie.
